  1. I just listened to this episode and really enjoyed it. There was one part that fascinated me. I re-wound it three times to try to grasp what was up, but still don't quite understand the trick you pulled...

You had tickets to MNSSHP, which entitled you to three Fastpasses from 4pm on. You also had purchased park tickets for a later trip that allowed you three more. So did you have two separate Magic Bands (1 for the party and 1 for your future trip)? Is the system not smart enough to realize that you didn't enter the park with Magic Band #2 but still allow you to use the Fastpasses? That's a pretty tricky hack!

    1. You've got it pretty much. Go listen to Episode 9 for a more complete explanation of getting extra fastpasses. You need separate MDE accounts for the various bands/tickets.

    2. Will do. I love little tricks.

One of my favorites is that the Fastpass systems in the two Disneyland parks are separate (and still the day-of paper system). You can get a Fastpass at Disneyland and California Adventure at the same time. So if you're willing to park-hop a lot, which isn't too difficult, it makes it pretty easy to hit all of the main attractions at both parks in a day. (I miss the old paper system at WDW.)

      Thanks!

  2. Clarification: You don't necessarily need a separate MDE account, you just need the party tix and regular admission to be on different profiles. Therefore, you could create a new "phantom" person within the same primary MDE and that would work too. However, as I mentioned in the show I prefer to keep my primary clean for various reason. Also - you have to be very careful to use the party admission when you go in the park and not accidentally use the band with the future regular ticket media on it! Thanks for listening

    1. Very tricky. So you just use different email addresses for your multiple MDE accounts? Thanks for your help!

  3. If you use a dummy band same at the parks with tiers, do they always offer one of the tier one attractions?

  4. No, if no Tier 1 FP are available, you don't get one.
